"A Vessel Safety Check or Vessel Safety Examination (VSE) is a voluntary program offered by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and the U.S. Power Squadrons. It is a comprehensive inspection to assess the safety and compliance of your boat with the applicable laws, regulations, and recommended practices. The Vessel Examiner is a trained specialist and is a member of the US Power Squadrons or the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. All boaters aboard for a charter must have proper identification, licensing and remain in compliance to state and federal regulations for fishing in New York State. All children under 12 are required to wear a life jacket at all times. Any boaters found to not be in compliance will be refused aboard the boat or immediate termination of charter with no refunds given.

Captain Derek has had a lifelong love of fishing in all capacities, from all night Walleye trips, all day Salmon trolls and offshore Tuna fishing! Efficiency is the name of the game, including camping on the boat to maximize fishing time. Bringing 20 years of fishing experience, Captain will put you on the fish with a rod in your hands.
First Mate Teresa
Newer to the Tolling experience First Mate Teresa brings fresh passion for trolling and a willingness to share everything she has learned. Being a long time Finger Lakes resident, trail guide for Painted Bar Stables, and an employee of the wine trail system she also loves to share about the area's history and personal significance to the Finger Lakes.
